Mt. Assiniboine, Canada
In August 2003, we hiked gorgeous Assiniboine — the Canadian Matterhorn — for 4 days.
The weather was terrific though we had some eerie forest fire haze.
Using Lake Magog as a base camp, we did most of the popular day hikes. It was a treat not to have to carry a heavy pack.
Highlights included:
- Scrambling Nub Peak
- Scrambling to Hind Hut on Assiniboine
- Scrambling Windy Ridge; the ridgecrest north of Og Mountain
- Assiniboine vistas
- Wonder Pass & Marvel Pass
