Where is the Queen Charlotte Track?

The top of the south island in the remote, rugged Marlborough Sounds. The jumping off point is Picton where the inter-island ferries land. Getting to the Track is easy.

Where is the trailhead?

The Queen Charlotte Track starts and ends with boat trips. (maps)

• normally start in Picton (boat to Ship Cove )
• normally end at Anakiwa (boat back to Picton)

Actually there are 2 different jetties in Anakiwa:

1. Titimoana Jetty
2. trailhead Jetty

The Titimoana Jetty is about 2km further than the trailhead and many a weary tramper curses those last steps. Check with your water transport company to see at which Jetty you will rendezvous.
