Colca, near Arequipa, is one of the most spectacular canyons in the world, more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. The hiking season is May to November, but you could come any month of the year. The weather is dry & stable.

No need to carry a tent. You can stay in quaint mountain villages if you prefer.
