I needed to show my hiking Permit & passport to the Ranger. It is easy for Canadian & Americans to cross the border here but it may be a hassle for other nationalities.

Solo hiking is discouraged in Glacier due to risk of bear attack. But the ranger sized me up & decided I would probably survive.
