Glasgow World Cup

December, 2001

Kyle made his third trip to Glasgow shortly after Elite Canada in Calgary. In the 2000 World Cup Final he was the youngest men's competitor and finished tied for Silver.

This time Kyle faced a bigger and tougher field than at those Championships. In fact, this time Nemov did not even qualify for the Floor final — the first time Kyle had beaten him.

This competition was long and slow. Despite distractions Kyle competed brilliantly qualifying first on Vault and second on Floor! Alexander Jeltkov competed great as well qualifying for Horizontal Bar and Floor finals.

The finals were excellent, as well, for Kyle though he finished just out of the medals.
