... home from Nationals.

I am back from Nationals now. It was a really good trip! I had a lot of fun and the competition was good too. It was so great to get back together with all of the girls that were at Olympics with me and Sasha. They are all doing really well! Yvonne Tousek came down to watch the competition. That was awesome seeing her!

I was happy with how I did, but I am a little bit disappointed because I know that I could have done better. I ended up 7th in the all-around and I won floor and vault. I was sitting in 5th after the first day of competition, but I couldn't find that fire inside of me on the second day and therefore my results sort of lacked. I was happy with 7th because I haven't competed in an all-around meet since December of 1999. I was prepared to before Olympics and Nationals last year, but unfortunately things never panned out. To come 7th at Nationals after not competing four events for a year and half isn't so bad I guess. I now know what I have to improve on in the upcoming months in order to be prepared for Worlds.

The next little while is going to be so busy for me. I am going to be having a crazy summer filled with training and competitions! I am not sure what competitions I will be attending as of yet, but I know that there will be a lot of them. I will keep you posted on what is coming up via the website.

I am a little bit stressed right now because school is almost over and I have about a million things to get completed before it is finished. I feel like I have everything under control and then all of a sudden there are 30 more things to complete. I can't wait until it's all over. Then I can relax a little bit and concentrate more on gym.

I sound like I am complaining a lot in this e-mail, but I am in really good spirits right now. Life is good. I went and saw the movie SHREK last night with some friends and it was pretty funny. I definitely recommend it. I want to see Pearl Harbour, but I hear that it is a romance movie rather than a 'blow things up' movie. I don't know if I am down for a chick flick....! We'll have to see.
