Rick has already visited over 50 countries & many of National Geographics 50 Greatest Places of a Lifetime.
He started travelling with competitive gymnastics, first to Europe & later to the USA, Asia & Australia. Taking a year off after highschool, Rick & 3 friends toured Europe in an orange VW van. Since 1991 Rick has travelled several months each year, recently to some of the best hiking destinations in the world. He was 6 months in South America in 2004-2005, for example, researching for two hiking websites: He has no plans to slow down in the future.
