2-day, 1-night Misti climb
This is the fastest way to climb Misti, but not nearly as interesting as the 3-day,2-night alternative.
This route is direct & steeper. We noticed climbers approaching from the Arequipa side sometimes skip the final pitch up to the iron cross, perhaps due to a steep snow field when coming from this direction. The one thing we like about this route is that you spend less time at altitude than with the 3-day.
If symptoms of altitude sickness get to you, descend immediately.
We have not done this hike, but were told that mice live at the campsite. Keep vermin out of your food.
