Tsusiat Point (Hole in the Wall)

Tip. You might want to use the BACK button to return to the previous page when finished.

One of our recommended campsites is a wilderness site on the Port Renfrew side of the Hole in the Wall. This is a terrific alternative to the massively popular Tsusiat Falls nearby.

If you do camp here you will have plenty of time to scramble and explore the magnificent sea arch. It's terrific at sunset.

At low tide you can hike beneath the arch. There's a bypass too if you happen to want to cross at higher tides.

Heading towards Bamfield, stay on the coast to Tsusiat Falls The forest Trail & Tsusiat ladders are much more difficult.
Heading towards Port Renfrew, we stay on the coast as much as we can en route to the Narrows at Nitinat.

However, the inland route offers some big trees and a unique cave shelter half-way between Tsusiat Falls and Tsuquadra Point — a great shelter from the rain!
